It’s true.  That may sound a little odd coming from a composer, but it's true, music can kill your film.

Music is absolutely vital to the success of your film.  Think Jaws works without its signature “Da - Dum”? Try watching it with the sound off. It sort of looks like a '70s travelogue.

Boring, cookie-cutter music, and tired music libraries that sound like everyone else’s music (because it is everyone else’s music), is not going to win you any awards, garner the recognition you deserve or help you at the box office.

Film is two things – light and sound. That’s all you’ve got to tell your story.  Skimping on the music is like making half a movie.

Listen, music can't fix the editing or help a poor performance, but great music can create a mood, add subtleties and dimension to your characters, and enhance every dramatic element of your story.

Film production is at an all time high and the right music can help set your film apart in the cluttered marketplace.

This is your dream and you want the best of everything for your film, and you want it to be easy.  You want to work with someone;

- you trust,
- who gets what you're doing,
- who sees your vision,
- who’s not a pain-in-the-ass,
- who takes direction,
- who speaks “film”, not just “music”
- who helps you tell your story and,
- who delivers.

Mostly, you don’t want music to kill your film.

I've written and produced the music to over 40 feature films, won two 21st Century Film Awards for Excellence, and have created scores that helped garner Academy Award® nominations for two films.

Every director I’ve worked with has returned to work with me on their subsequent projects.  They even say nice things about me. /ENDORSEMENTS.

I’ve also gotten some great reviews. /PRESS

Email me for my reel today and hear for yourself how other films have benefited from my music.

In fact, I'll do you one better. Give me a call /323-938-1499 and let's talk about your project. If I have time in my schedule, I'll demo one scene from your film -- my dime.

I can’t do this for everyone, so this offer is only good on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Pete Townsend always signs his autograph "be lucky". I love that, because there is always more than a bit of luck involved in all successful films.

"Be lucky", and I hope to talk to you soon about your project.

Kevin
